  hi

i hope this is not too silly a question

im trying to get excel to do something fairly simple but i keep coming unstuck

i want it to insert a name from a colum into a line of text

a simple cell reference will insert the name but as soon as u add other text u get an error message

   (see attached screen dump)

  any ideas out there?
