Re: [Year 12 IPM] IPM New to listYes you should dare say it Mark.
But it does need a "culture shift": with the "kids" as well as with the teachers.
The kids can no longer say "you didn't teach me this" as an excuse for doing b***** all in class. So if we can bring about that culture shift then ok.
But! Robert: Why not put all your kids into IP&M? There are no prerequisites for units 3 and 4 so if the kids can cope then go for it and have them all doing IP&M. This is what we are doing at Ashwood for 2006.

Dare I say it?
Why not.
It can be done just have the kids learn rather being taught.

I wonder if History teachers are ever asked to teach Australian History and Revolutions in the same class.?
Just because IPM and VET Cert III both involve computers does not mean they can necessarily be taught effectively at the same time in the same room.
Good Luck Colin - I hope your DP is prepared to share his experiences and strategies with you.

You're quite right, it's not my idea.
Haven't had a chance to look at it much as yet. My DP tells me it can be
done, he is doing it now.
