Hi Gail
We have one VCE ESL class of 13 students. At year 11 we have 5 ESL
students in a mainstream class. This class is timetabled at the same
time as the Year 12 class so we can provide access to explicit ESL
skills teaching as required.

I have just one student and she is in a mainstream English class with
the
teacher (me) giving her what support I can. The school cannot offer her
a
class for one.

Subject: RE ESL class sizes
Hi everyone, I am after some info about ESL class sizes. We are
concerned
that our VCE ESL class sizes are higher than average and we would like
some
data to help us argue the point.
If you do have a VCE ESL class, how many students in the class and how
many
students do you have at the year level?
Thanks
Gail
