This is a really good discussion point....
I am trying to inspire my staff to explore new tools.... It's a hard slog...
We have not used any of the formalised training, only because there was not much interest.
We did, several years ago, have some self paced CD training in a range of, I think it was Office 97 then, programs, but the take up was not good. We run a range of PD session, and they range in attendance. I am an ICT peer coach, but even that has not inspired many to take that innovative leap. They seem pretty confident with the office basics....it is the newer ideas and tools I am keen to get them using
I am working on developing a treasure hunt, to increase awareness of web 2.0 tools...(I saw something similar a couple of years ago while involved with TPL)
Cheers

Subject: RE: [elearning] Staff ICT skills
We are looking at how best to improve the ICT skills of our staff.
Have other schools used formal qualifications such as ICT drivers license or Cert II IT as a PD program for staff.
Any other suggestions would be most welcome.
