I’m a big fan of Fusion 360.

Good mix of parametric, direct modelling, sketching workspaces with room to grow.  At its basic level though, its very accessible for kids and more intuitive than expected.  I’ve had  year 8 students handle it well, even prefer it over “simpler” options.

I started using Onshape last year. It’s free, can run on most computers as it’s browser based.

I started using Fusion this year and wouldn’t look back (assuming computers can run it). They’re similar in they way you draw. Onshape seems to be a stripped back version of Fusion. I am trying to decide which CAD to use with kids. onshape or fusion 360
I am a novice at both myself.
Is one easier than the other?
Will be using it for preparing /designing for CNC and Laser cutting
We dont have access to desktop computers so students will be using their own devices and as far as I know these programs are available online?
