Hi Heather,

I have run dual classes before, it's a difficult process, which you have guessed all ready but not impossible. Both can start with the folio as you know and that makes it easier but the expectations are different. So that gives you time to form the all important relationships with these students. 
If you would like to give me a ring I could give you some more ideas but remember they worked with my group they may not work with your students. I would be happy to chat, my number is 0408336703. I have taught in both wood and textiles but wood is my speciality. You could text me first to see if its a good time or not. Tomorrow I don't teach unless my year 12's turn up.

Hi Heather!

I had a similar situation this year, as numbers were insufficient for a year 11 to run.  However, I chose to talk with the Year 11 students and, with the blessing of our school administration, ran the class as an accelerated Year 12 for those year 11 students participating.  This is one option, though it does result in no year 12 the following year.
