[Informatics] User Flow Diagrams

Hi Ben,

attached is an exercise I have given my yr12’s.

I have included the initial activity which can be found on the VCAA site and the (my) solution on the last page.
I am using flowcharts because they are logical and clear.

http://creately.com/ is a web 2 site that has drawing tools that can be used. But for this exercise I had students work in groups using butcher’s paper and pencils. It works well because some in the class have not been predisposed to this before. I will brainstorm the group solutions next week before presenting my solution. NB: my solution may be contested by my students, and that’s OK.

Hi all,

This my first time teaching Informatics and I wanted to know what notation/style people are teaching for user flow diagrams. I’m fine for the SAC I just wanted to make sure the students are using a style that would be recognise for the exam.
