[Informatics] Nelson exam and answers

I agree Mark, and normally I would not say anything but most schools booklist the text book which in turn gives them access to the materials however many of their staff do not send access codes to the schools even when they are requested. The delay in the text book also stressed many teachers due to the delay and I did not get one until nearly the end of term one and that was after our librarian had to ring and email to ask why we did not have them. I know we only have a small group of students studying Informatics but they need to make it easier for us to obtain the resources which according to their own system that we are entitled to. With my new lap top trying to reset the password took ages as I kept getting blocked due to our firewall and it was incredibly frustrating. Then waiting for resources that have been paid for to arrive which I am sure I am not the only person with 12s finished for the year. One of our resources we were invoiced twice and am still waiting for resources. I have never felt more exhausted due to all this happening.

It may be beneficial if Nelson created a teacher version of the text book with access codes etc to relieve the pressure of us teachers who don’t have the time to keep chasing up ordered resources.

Has anyone else had the same issues this year. I have been teaching for 20 years and have never spent as much time ringing, emailing and trying to chase up resources that have been paid for or that we are entitled to.

It’s bad enough I was lucky enough to witness a person run over by a car in Melbourne now I have had my first whinge for I don’t know how long.
