Hi all
Mazenod College (1400 students yrs 7 -12) has an equivalent of an ICT/E-learning role as well as an IT Curriculum leadership role. It has had the IT role for 13 years and formalised the ICT/E-learning role in the last two years.
You raise an interesting point as to where STEM or STEAM will fit into these roles and also the new Digital Technologies. From what I have read it is stressed that a Digital Technologies Curriculum and its associated leadership role is to be kept separate from the IC/E-learningT.
We are embarking on some Digital Technologies Yrs 7/8 curriculum implementation tasks as trials early in 2017. This is a joint initiative of the IT Curriculum Faculty and Arts and Technology Faculty.
Regards
John Wright
