As I've always said - with no help *at all* from anyone, even Steven Wright
- “To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is
research.”

And I hated it when Ben Hecht copied what I said and published in "A Child
of the Century" (THREE YEARS BEFORE I WAS BORN! How was *that* fair? I *ask*
you. Sheesh. I mean to say, the man didn't even give me a chance to *learn
to write* before he stole my brilliant epigram:)

*A wise man will always allow a fool to rob him of ideas without yelling
“Thief.”*

*If he is wise he has not been impoverished.Nor has the fool been
enriched. The thief flatters us by stealing. We flatter him by complaining.*

Anyone interested in my writings may be want to read my Testaments (old and
new) and a great new story I'm calling *Prejudice and Pride*.

Mark Hemingway Tolstoy
