Hi Don
Have a look at creating charts in Google Sheets and then using the embed function to create an iframe tag that can be inserted into a HTML page.
I've been teaching this to my Y11 Computing students as they do a survey to put primary data onto their U1O3 website.


1)      Create a blank sheet in sheets.google.com

2)      Type in your data:

3)      Highlight all data, click on Insert-Chart

4)      When the chart is created, click on the triangle at top right hand side of the chart

5)      Choose Publish chart

6)      Click on Embed option, then click Publish

7)      Click OK

8)      Click Ctrl-C to copy the embed code link for an iframe HTML tag

9)      Copy this iframe code into anywhere in your webpage.  Even drag and drop website creation tools generally have an 'embed HTML code' option.


10)   Any time that you change the figures in the Google Sheets page, the chart which is being embedded gets updated too.

Hello All,

We have seen some wonderful contributions on this list regarding what an MMOs looks like.

Has anyone managed to source freeware or online tools that facilitate the creation of engaging/interactive graphics that can be used in a MMOS?
Dynamic images and charts to help make the data come alive. Static charts from Excel displayed on a web page seems to me to be inadequate.
