I agree - FANTASTIC resource - Thanks!! I really appreciate it. I made my kids lock themselves into broad topic categories so that I at least know they've been thinking about the process and that there weren't any crossovers, but quite a few are struggling with the overall project concept - this will really help.
As for sample topics, I believe the sample ones we generated at the SAT training day were going to be made available to us - does anyone know how that is going? It would be a fabulous resource for everyone to have that. Natalie Heath (Marcellin College)

My students struggling to come up with ideas. 

Has anyone created a list of lots of examples that I could show my students. 

I also stupidly volunteered to do the SAT myself and have my students assess me on the SAT criteria. What do other people think of this approach?

My first draft Hypothesis. 

The children of parents who participated in team sports more likely to be involved in after school sports programs. This is because parents who have participating in teams act as a positive role. The focus of the investigation will be primary school students at _____________ from the ages of ____ and up.
