Hi all,
Just wondering if the area of creating user documentation (e.g. quick start guide, context sensitive help, tutorial etc) is covered anywhere within Informatics, and therefore whether it would be a requirement for the SAT?*
Currently I can only suppose it might when we are given the final SAT criteria for Unit 4 Outcome 1, which may involve needing to create some form of user help within the multi-modal online solution (as if the students won't have enough to do already).
However, there is no explicit mention of user documentation in the Key Knowledge. Really it's only in the PSM and therefore I'm guessing that it's the type of topic to not be covered explicitly in a KK but still worm its way into the exam because "it's part of the Study Design".
The reason I'm wondering about this is because if the PSM is such an important process for students to follow to get an understanding of what solving problems is like in industry (:)) then why is one area completely ignored in the SD?

*as an aside apart from internal (i.e. code) documentation which should really be done as part of the PSM stage of manipulation, there's no mention of the Documentation component of the Development stage of the PSM in the Study Design at all, from my quick look - maybe I'm wrong
