There is information concerning Range Reviews on the SSO Career Structure pa=
ge on HRWeb at (http://www.eduweb.vic.gov.au/hrweb/careers/sso/ssostruct.htm=
). The following sentence is also in the SSO Performance and Development Gui=
de:  Movement to a higher salary range
within a classification level may only occur though salary range review (ass=
essing the
duties and responsibilities as having changed to an extent that there has be=
en an
increase in work value). 

There is no set process other than what is described in the above, so it up=
 to the school to establish their own process.  As long as the classificatio=
n doesn't change (i.e. SSO2 to SSO3) there is no requirement to advertise.

Good Afternoon everyone,

 

Does anyone know if there is a set procedure for an SSO who requests a
Range Review, I have been reading SOFWEB and apart from them requesting
one, their does not seem to be a standard format of what action the
Principal should take etc.  The request is from an SSO2-3 to an SSO2-5
as this is a significant jump in classification I need to ensure we
follow the correct procedure.
