Hi Chris,

Not sure of the size of your school but we have 162 students here. The teach=
ers only mark the roll twice a day, once in the morning after the bell at 9a=
m & then after the lunchtime bell at 2.25pm. Then once all the rolls are mar=
ked the teacher will send the roll up to the office with 2 students.

When a student is late they are to sign in the late book at the office & tak=
e a late notice to class with them which gets marked on the roll as L. If a=
student is leaving early then the parent signs the early leavers register &=
a signed note which goes to the classroom teacher, on the roll it gets mark=
ed with an E in the 2nd half of the day. If a student was or is absent & has=
handed in a note we put an N on the roll.

Hope this helps, would be interesting to hear others was of doing it.

:)

Subject: [Busmanagers] RE: Collecting Rolls

Morning All

We have a new Prin, and she would like me to investigate different practices=
 of collecting rolls/absences.

I know everyone is busy, but if you could jot down your school's way of doin=
g things, I would really appreciate your help.

We have had rolls delivered from the office everyday and collected every aft=
ernoon by students since the year dot, and she would like to reduce the time=
the children are out of class!

Thanks heaps
