[Busmanagers] SSO Retirement Query

If your SSO retires at the end of the school year they would be paid for
their unused annual leave.  If they retire at the end of the holidays
they would be paid for the holidays.

 

There is no requirement, and there never has been for a teacher (or
anyone else for that matter) who is resigning or retiring to work the
first school day of the term/year to be paid for the holidays.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

 

I have an SSO who is contemplating retiring at the end of the year;
after reading HR website for 30 mins I am now confused; my understanding
was that if she retired at the end of the year she would not be entitled
to holidays, however it appears from what I have read, that she would
still be entitled to her holiday pay and her termination date would be
the first day of the new school year?  Is this correct; I always thought
to benefit you had to return for one day of the new school year or does
that only relate to teaching staff?
