Thanks so much yes I think the penny has now dropped!!
I was wondering how you handled the batch situation and what you have
said really makes sense to leave the batch open all day then process at
the end of day
I find this emailing list a fantastic help
thanks Raelene, Lisa and Lyanne

We have had our Eftpos machine while on CASES and now on CASES21
Finance.
We receipt in a separate batch to cash and cheques. Technically you
don't have to, but we find it simpler (make the description of the batch
EFTPOS so its quite clear which batch is which so you don't get them
confused). At the end of each day you have to do a reconciliation on
the Eftpos machine and its wise to do an Eftpos banking, therefore it is
easier to balance back to C21F if its a separate batch. We receipt as
normal - nominate EFTPOS rather than cash/cheque - and process as you
usually do. We don't differentiate between debit or credit cards.
You will receive 2 statements from the bank at the end of the month -
one will be receipts and charges for the debit cards and one for credit
cards.
Hope this helps - feel free to call if you want to chat more about it.

Hi Lyanne and Lisa
I am also looking for any documentation on putting eftpos on, we have
our equipment installed later this week but have no idea of the process,
i will follow your instructions to process thru eftpos machine then put
thru cases21 eftpos. I am just a bit confused about visa payments. As
with my card is combined eftpos/visa can these cards be used and how do
you handle this ?
thankyou

Hi Lyanne
We went over to the Electronic version last year. We bank with the
Commonwealth. It actually works out cheaper than the old click clack
version as the transaction rate is 0.05% less, and you only pay $9-90
per month rental, you know immediately if there is a problem like no
funds available and you can receipt it through cases21 only you use the
EFTPOS code not Visa, M/Card etc. It can be put through the machine
first then receipted on Cases later if necessary.
Well worth doing.

We currently use the old 'click clack' swipper for credit card payments
but are seriously thinking of going 'electronic'. I would like to hear
from others how they find using EFTPOS transactions especially in
relation to CASES 21F. We accept credit card payments for any payments.
Thanks
