After  lot of LSL queries over the years I can state for certain that the LSL definitely includes the Saturday and Sunday.  The resumption date must be the Monday.

Hello all

 

LSL – if the leave starts on a Monday and ends on a Friday – is the resumption date the Saturday or Monday?   

 

I was of the belief that LSL is accrued as calendar days and therefore taken as calendar days.  For example a week uses seven days of LSL.  I have always made the Monday the resumption date.  

 

A staff member’s spouse works at a primary school and they both took 2 weeks LSL last year from 3.10.05.  My return date is 17.10.05 but his wife’s LSL quote/forecast shows her resumption as the Saturday, 15, resulting in 2 days difference with their calendar days.  Of course he is questioning this.

 

Am I doing the right or wrong thing after all these years??????  I believe before HRMS the resumption used to be the Saturday.
