Hi Rosemary,

 

If you want to get recognition of service you need to send the following
into Melissa Vangelovska at Schools HR:-

 

A statement of service on letterhead from previous schools, signed by
someone in authority.

 

It must contain the following details (at a minimum) -

State date of employment

End date of employment

Time fraction(s) employed and any dates of change in time fractions.
These should be expressed as .5, 7, 1.0 or full-time.

Statement regarding Leave Without Pay taken or statement that indicates
NO LWOP was taken.

 

It is best to put them on the lowest scale so as not to create any
overpayment.

I am about to employ a teacher for a 6 month fixed term vacancy who has
previously taught in the Private System.

She has been teaching for 10 years with some time off on family leave
etc.

Can anyone tell me what salary I should start her on.
