To migrate in January, schools would have to attend training in January
so this could be why it is recommended not to go on. End of Year also
needs to be completed prior to migration. There is no month that is any
better than any other. At least in January you are at the start of the
school year.

It is now Western region that has to be on because of the new HRMS
package. It has changed from Eastern

Hi Terry

Depends who you listen to. I was also given the opportunity to go on in
January 2006. I think it would be a good time to go on as then you
would only have your 2005 figures to work back to. I would have gone on
in January but my Accounts Payable girl will be on LSL for the term and
I think you would need your full complement to be well trained and ready
to start. I have been told (Alan Mackenzie) that there will be three
well needed upgrades before January which will help with the reporting
side of the package. I believe it is the reporting side of the package
which causes the most pain. I plan to go on as late as possible in 2006
(probably about May) as I am told we need to be on as a Region before
the new HRMS package comes on board (July)

Good luck

Hi all

Have just read VPA minutes and it is recommended to avoid migrating to
CASES21F at the beginning of a new school year. Why is this?

We are due to go over in 2006 and I was thinking it would be great to do
in January - I would then only have 6 weeks to stuff things up & 2 weeks
break to try to repair!

What are your suggestions.
