I already do payroll by direct deposit through Quickline, and was going
to start doing creditors, starting with Gas/Electricity first to see how
it goes, but you can only pay them through BPAY not through direct
deposit, which means that you have to have additional access through
internet banking, as opposed to doing it through the banks quickline
program. I don't think the internet BPAY systems have enough safeguards
to protect us. At least if you are using a program like Quickline one
person can do the paying part on CASES21F and another person can import
the data to Quickline and the reports shows bank account numbers so that
they can be crossed checked.
I'm open to any suggestions as to what other people are doing.

Subject: [Busmanagers] Direct deposit for creditors and payroll
I am trying to push for electronic payment and my strategy is to have
everything down tight before I even moot the idea.
Our 0002 A/c is with Westpac.
Do I use their "Pay Anyone" facility?
For creditors? For Payroll? Are they treated the same?
Are there batching facilities available through third parties that
doesn't conflict with Wpac?
When you run payments I gather you run your cheques as one batch and
DD's as another?
Is it as simple as selecting not to print cheques?
That is the sort of stuff going around in my head! Can anyone answer
those questions for me?
