Hi Brigid,
My understanding is that as long as she returns within 5 years, she
keeps her long service leave entitlements - not sure about the sickness
benefits, but I assume they'd be the same. She also keeps her
accomplished teacher level.
Hope this helps
Have a good weekend - we're all going to need it!

Subject: [Busmanagers] Urgent HRMS Question
Hi Everyone,
If a teacher resigns her ongoing position to take up a twelve month
position in the private teaching sector, would she loose her
entitlements ie long service leave, sickness benefits etc. I know she
would loose her ongoing position and would have to re-apply after 12
months for another position with the Department but she would still
retain her accomplished teacher status?
Crazy time of year this is!!!!!!!!!!!
Regards
