If she resigns she will need to fill in a completion of service and she
will be paid for any entitlements she is owed.
The other alternative is if she was granted LWOP she would be able to
come back in the next year with entitlements in tact.
Depends on how generous your Principal is.

Hi Everyone,
If a teacher resigns her ongoing position to take up a twelve month
position in the private teaching sector, would she loose her
entitlements ie long service leave, sickness benefits etc. I know she
would loose her ongoing position and would have to re-apply after 12
months for another position with the Department but she would still
retain her accomplished teacher status?
Crazy time of year this is!!!!!!!!!!!
