[Yr7-10it] Fwd:Year 9 & 10 Electives

We are also reviewing our electives at the moment and it is great to know some of topics we cover are similar to other schools. Currently we have the following
Web Design - HTML + DreamweaverPhotoPublishing - Illustrator + PhotoshopCAD - Sketchup + Rhino 3DProgramming - Gamemaker + MIT App Dev + Simple Basic 
Note : Khan Academy looks like a great resource and some of the others discussed I hope to use.
Interested to know more about how schools have gone about setting up PHP for students as we I have been informed that it could create problems.

Subject: [Year 12 IT Apps] Year 9 & 10 Electives

We are planning to start offering IT electives at both Year 9 & 10 at our
school starting in 2015

At present we don’t have any IT offerings at these Year levels – although
Year 10 students may select Unit 1 & 2 IT

I’m looking at offering 2 electives at each year level – and each elective
would run for a semester

I’m hoping people might forward to me the types of electives that they run
at their school and in particular the types of electives that have proven
popular

Also I’m keen to offer at least one elective that would be appeal to
female students to try and increase the ratio of boys to girls studying IT

Any help would be appreciated
