I found this on *Free download a day*:
TweetMyPC takes Twitter and turns it into a tool you can use to run your PC
remotely.

I haven't tried it, but it might be a challenging project for junior IT
students.

Further to the Karnak/Visicalc spreadsheet post, I did mention the site
http://www.danbricklin.com/visicalc.htm, but didn't say that it has a free
download of Visicalc which runs on a PC in a Dos box. The site also has a
scan of the original manual, so anyone who finds Excel TOOO confusing with
all those functions to remember can find solace here.
