Hi all (and apologies for the cross posts),
The Call for Papers is now open for this year's VITTA Annual Conference. You are invited to either submit a paper or pencil in November 29 and 30 at Caulfield Racecourse to come along and enjoy your learning at the conference.
This year marks a turning point with the VITTA Conference. For one, the change of venue will mean significantly better public transport access. Flemington is a terrific venue but Caulfield offers an active train station within walking distance of the venue and great parking.
You will also notice the two day format rather than the three day format. We think that this will be a much more attractive option, especially for our regional members.
You'll also see a number of positive changes to the way a number of sessions will be run. Better access and connectivity will help us utilize the use of technology throughout the conference. More about this as we move closer to the conference!
Strands for this year are:
ICT Leadership
Whole School change
One to one learning
National Curriculum
Emerging Technologies
VCE IT New Study Design 2011-14
eLearning
Mobile Devices in the Curriculum
Digital Citizenship
Games for Learning
Collaborative Learning
ICT student and career pathways
Interdisciplinary learning
For the moment, please put the dates in your diary and consider submitting a paper proposal. This year, we also encourage ICT leaders to attend the Leadership forum with their principal and/or curriculum coordinators.
The call for papers close Friday September 3.
