Alan Kay represents a very rich vein of educational and computer thinking, which i've investigated in the last few years
you don't get the Turing medal for major services to computer industry for nothing..
and yet education was always central to his vision, not as an market or modified application of business software, but as the primary place where systems thinking could be incubated with appropriate software model making
discussions in this list directed me there i think; Bill etc
