I understand that there will be a scope and sequence developed for ICT
(content and achievement standards). How it will appear in the
curriculum documents is still under consideration. For example, in the
current four study areas being developed, it is possible that in some
instances ICT may actually be embedded in the content of these studies
e.g. use ICT to represent data in graph form (in maths); in other
instances the ICT content may be illustrated through the content
elaborations (examples) in each of these studies. How the rest will be
handled, I'm not certain. The good news is that at the moment ICT, like
literacy and numeracy, are high on ACARA's agenda for development.

yes Anne----- the new national curriculum will be centred around ICT
other subject areas will have to beg us for time we will all remain
aloof and remind them of core subjects and the real business of teaching
kids through ICT.
