Hi All,
As Kent, it appears that I am also in the same boat. Is yours sinking as fast as mine Kent?
Can I please have the document also emailed to myself as well?
It would be greatly appreciated.

Subject: [Yr7-10it] IT curriculum docs VELS formatted for level 4/5
Recently, a lister posted a curriculum document of their VELS formatted Level 4 or 5 planning. I liked it but seem to have lost or deleted it in error. Could the document be reposted to the list, or me directly if you prefer, please as I am in a similar boat with doing documentation over the break and it looked very similar to my needs for the powers that be.
It'd be much appreciated..
Kent.

Subject: [Yr7-10it] Useful online website builders listing
Hi all
As I've written my reports, I've got 2 weeks to fill (5 classes) without the kids (or me) 'loosing it' in my 89IT class!
I've used the attached Lost Liners task for years (originally in QLD). I've got answers, if you're interested - email me at oz.sutton at gmail.com<mailto:oz.sutton at gmail.com>
It's best if you block the site: http://www.pbs.org/lostliners/ (the task/hunt actually came from the PBS site). I've adapted it a bit. Students could find all the answers on this site - a bit easy!!!!! There is also www.lostliners.com<http://www.lostliners.com/>. I've had this blocked as well as it may hold much of the info (not checked!). This won't stop access from the google cache, unless your school has blocked the cache.
After the 2 periods spent researching, I'm going to get students to create a 3 page site about ... Lost Liners. They can choose one of the many free online web builders. I've used:
http://www.wallwisher.com/wall/lostliners
to build a wall of the free sites that students can choose from. Be warned: SOME need registration and a FEW are trials - no access after trial ends without paying. These warnings are on the Wall.
I'm not convinced that a 'Wall' is the best way to present this info - a mindmap or even a Word doc list could be just as effective - and would have allowed more info and emphasis and single click to access the website. From the Wall you have to copy and paste the URL.
If I had another period I would get them to write a report about the online building experience:
would they use it again, is it easier than other web design software they have used, what were the difficulties/problems, are they happy with the site, did it allow them to be really creative/produce a good looking site, were there templates available, etc etc etc ????
YOU can just use the Wall to find free online website builders (I spent a few hours googling - but I make NO RECOMMENDATIONS ABOUT QUALITY). Yola has got some good reviews.
Regards
COLIN
