HI Keith,
Thanks for the ideas, I am actually looking for class work eg something
that teaches Gantt and pert charting with easy short tasks for that year
level. You know like the 'practice' tasks we use in VCE.
Thanks again I'll consider the L'Oreal Fashion week proposal for the big
task next term! I'm sure Jennifer or Megan will be running to
attend!!!!

Hi Claudia,
How about asking a certain "Corey" character from the easter
suburbs....rumor has it that he is a bit of a 'party organiser' ! (cant
be much good, he needs an adult manager..hehehe).
Couldnt resist..
In real terms...
Weddings, Birthdays, Barb-b-ques, providing costumes for a concert,
Catering of sorts, Organising a sports team for an event eg Regatta,
Tennis team...etc, Co-ordinating a First Aid course(we have just now
finished one this morning at work with our local ambo doing the
presentation). Presenting at a PD session. Running a conference etc...
Student level..
Organising the y12's jumpers or shirts (not the uniform, the one that
lets others know they're the 12's..supplier, design, sizes, (egos?)
printing, costing, distribution etc..you know what I mean), Organising a
raffle or fund raiser..
Since its the tens, its a perfect task for them to work out their
jumpers for next year or even if the school is considering a special VCE
design and wants to work in with the tens so they have input. ie Draft
ideas, costs, samples, material trails, sample fashion show of various
designs, voting, and final versions then off to the supplier with sizes,
numbers and costings. There you go..all done for you! Oh, get a high
profile model to be the clothes hanger for you...get a WOW factor and
publicity all in one too!! Oh ok, get some marketing guru, an advert
agency, to promote it, a sports junkie to get caught on camera wearing
it and voila..instant fame!!
someone stop me!!!
(maybe I'm in the wrong job...I wonder sometimes!)
Hope these give you an idea or 2..
seeya.
Kent.

Hi all,
I looking for some easy (ie not VCE style) project management tasks to
set year ten students for my event management course.
If anyone has some light weight versions, or intro to project
planning/project management type tasks I would be greatly appreciative.
Regards
Claudia
