thank you for the advice everyone, it is really nice to have a forum like
this as support.

I had Scratch and GameMaker put onto the network and have used mainly
GameMaker with the year 9's.

I found a great looking resource for Klik and Play but will spend some time
learning the scripting side of GameMaker over the holidays so that I can
hopefully be of some assistance to the more advanced students. At the moment
we have only used the drag and drop aspect of GameMaker.
