[Yr7-10it] freeware animations software

Thanks Kevork,  our school is in the process of doing the same.  What you say is correct, it is a great offer.  However what I am looking at is something the students can use at home.  Many of my students have been asking for a copy of flash but unfortunately I have to tell them that under licencing agreement, we cannot give them a copy.  So the only alternative, is freeware if possible.
 
Any thoughts on how students can get animation software so that they can work at home.  Most of my students are keen to work at home on animations and who am I to stop them.

 Actually we upgraded to the Adobe Creative Suite CS3 web premium at a total site licence price of under $9000. This is what we got :

Adobe Create Suite 3 Web Premium Edition comprises the following components:

PhotoShop CS3
Illustrator CS3
Dreamweaver CS3
Flash CS3
Fireworks CS3
Bridge CS3
Acrobat 8.0

There is also a  "Teacher Resources" CDs (2 discs) and a substantial support set of resources like exercises etc.

 I don't get a commission from Adobe :))

Hi all,



I have been using Flash as an animation software but as you all know, Flash is very expensive.  I have been searching for a good freeware animation software.  Has anyone come across one.



Also any suggestions in avenues of purchasing earlier versions of Flash at a much cheaper price.



Any advice on cheaper options on animation software that has powerful options would be greatly appreciated.
