Get a photo of them and put it into a wanted poster that they can take with them!
or..
Let them pick a photo from a selection you may have, or provide them, and let them play with the photoshop with it...eg the liquify tool will keep them amused from the filters as will some of the other available effects!
Maybe you could let them loose on some games your older students may have made(I assume you have some here) and that lets them see what they can aspire to achieve.
Word, Excel etc are boring for the 'taster' sessions!
Have a 'streaming' music playing in the background if you can, they'll love that!
enjoy!

Subject: [Yr7-10it] Year 5-6 30 minute "taster"
Hi all,
We have some year 5 and 6 students from local primary schools coming
to experience secondary school for a day. They're scheduled to have a
30 minute IT lesson each.
Does anyone have a suggestion for what to do with them?
I've only taught 9-12 before so I'd value any input!
Thanks in advance
Russell
