[Yr7-10it] reports --- HELP!!!!!!!!!

This is more of a general comment on comments (as I sit here
procrastinating writing my own report comments :) Obviously each
school's system will be different, but our comments (for the core
subjects) have three sections: what the student has achieved, how they
can improve or go further, and what the school will do to help them
get there. I use this general format for IT as well (it fits nicely
with the idea of framing the bad news between two pieces of good
news). The first section is simply a description of the things that
student has done or can do (and how they've shown it). This will
depend on what they have actually done - you'll have to work with the
teacher in question. The second bit can cover behaviour and motivation
issues, as well as going into what things that student will get into
next semester. Once the comment banks are done, writing a report
formost students becomes quite easy and formulaic.
Hope this helps
