Hi Anne
Here is a hack
1. Create a slide with the image and a rectangle the same colour as the
background covering the image
2. Copy the slide and resize the rectangle
3. Repeat step 2 as required
4. advance slides either manually or with timings

Subject: [Yr7-10it] RE: [Oz-teachers] Powerpoint
Hi All
I'm hoping a clever person out there can help me.
I want to create a way to carefully reveal an image in MS PowerPoint. In
the same way that you can reveal an image on an Interactive Whiteboard.
For this unit I am working in a classroom that doesn't yet have it's IWB
(it's coming next week) but we want to get started.
My plan is to have powerful images of close ups of minibeasts (one image
per slide) and I want to reveal each image little by little so that the
kids can talk and wonder about them before seeing them in their
totality.
Is the best way to have shapes layered over the top of the images and
animate them to exit? Or is there a better way?
Thanks Anne

Subject: [Oz-teachers] Anthony Browne
Hi
Anthony Browne spoke last night (27th June Sydney time) for a CBC dinner
at The Hughenden, Sydney.
It was wonderful.
Anthony revealed that the death of his father in front of him, when
Anthony was 17, was defining for
him as a person and as an illustrator/writer. The gorilla symbolises his
father - strong, powerful,
physical, yet gentle and protective. He admits that GORILLA his 7th
book, is his favourite out of
the 36 books he's illustrated/written.
His favourite medium is water colour.
