Hi David,

The main drawback to these devices as far as I can see is the need for
specialised pen holders that require N type Battries.

They are bulky to hold hard for small hands.  My department has
purchased some so I will be trying them outt myself soon.  We also have
the SMART boards which I like.  

Another option would be to purchase a Bluetooth Slate and run the
software from that about $700 from SMART technologies and EdSoft.com 
have a good offer on at the moment as well. $399 for a tablet but to
does not come with the SMART Software.

Hi Jim

I saw a demo of the mimio at VITTA Conf that turns any whiteboard into a
smart/interactive board and they were about $1200 much cheaper than the
real thing and offering more flexibility and portability. I'm
