I thought this might have been covered in the Advice for Teachers. It is for Software Development but not Applied Computing.

This is what it says for SD:
Teachers are required to select a suitable programming language that all students study as part of this area of study.

Might help steer your decision making. Hope you are well.

So the VCAA should not have a problem with different languages as they are both in the study design as options. Hello -

would it be allowed for Year 11 students to select either VB or Python for their programming unit?

I may have 2 groups of students in the one class that gravitate to one language over the other.

If I can manage to deliver context equally, and assess them accordingly, does VCAA allow that?
