[Yr11 Information Technology] Farewell Mark

Damn it, Adrian. You're going to make me either cry*, or sound like Dame
Nelly Melba or John Farnham with their endless farewell concerts.

I started the *IPM Lecture Notes* site in 2001 (which became vceit.com)
just to consolidate my notes for class.
It sort of got out of control after that.

When people started to listen to what I was saying online, I felt obliged
to actually learn more about what I was talking about...
to avoid sounding like an idiot**.

So, this community prompted me to improve my game, and that has, in turn,
paid off for the community.
I'm a fan of symbiosis.

So, thanks to you Adrian. Your SD texts have been the mainstay of all SD
teachers and students in a sea without any other islands of relief.
Those commercial textbook publishers should be ashamed for eschewing the SD
market.

Please let me know if you want to want someone to write the controversial
parts of your next text. I'm ready!

**Thankfully, I still have found *many *other opportunities to sound like
an idiot. I consider it a talent. Others disagree.

*** I *swear *to Dog, if I have to post another farewell message to these
lists, I will scream.
But I will scream like a bloke. 'Cos blokes don't scream.
Unless they're falling from cliffs.
I guess they're entitled to scream in that case. Falling from cliffs is
pretty severe, even for blokes.
But otherwise, no bloke-screaming.
I hope I have made myself clear.
