[Yr11 Information Technology] Programming Languages - C# & Unity

Hi All,

Hope everybody is enjoying the break. I am looking at different programming languages and environments that can be used at VCE.

Currently, the only explicit programming taught outside yr11-12 at my school is using C# in the game engine Unity3D. Some students have been able to use the oculus rift in the year 10 programming class, and it would be interesting to see how they could use data visualisation in a virtual (or augmented reality with the new Hololens) to satisfy the outcomes. As my first year teaching VCE IT, I am looking for any tips or suggestions (Even warnings) about using an environment like Unity3D or the C# language in relation to VCE IT. How adaptable it is to other outcomes, or if I should just abandon ship and start with another programming language.
