Excellent Janet - Thanks so much.

My students didn't want to go to recess - it was so much fun and a perfect
way to introduce the topic.

Thanks again, Litsa.

Another great resource which could be used as a lesson starter on the topic
of data visualisation is at

http://spotlight.abs.gov.au/

it is an interactive quiz where kids put in their details (where they live,
when they were born etc) to get a snapshot of just how important they are
in the overall scheme of things!

regards

Litsa,

I use Google Docs and add in things like motion charts. "Many eyes" is a
website that allows you to upload data and create different types of data
visualisations. Failing those, you could use wordle!

If I am on the wrong track however, someone please correct me!

Cheers

Good afternoon,

May I ask please?

For Unit 2 - Outcome 1, what would classify as a "data visualisation
software". I have included the statement from the study design below.

In the textbook there are many charts, but I was trying to avoid using
Spreadsheets.

"Area of Study 1: One or more of the following: A programming language,
database software, spreadsheet software, data visualisation software"

Thank-you for any clarification.

Litsa J
