Thanks for the reply Mark. My students have completed a Data
Visualisation task for "Quit Australia" (An exercise that has been
floating around here on edulists) as a classroom activity. I guess my
concern with giving them the test is ensuring that all stages of the PSM
are covered, which is a requirement of U2O1. John's test that he put up
here the other week was the test I was interested in doing. So
technically I could give the students the test in order to gauge their
theory knowledge, and also incorporate their practical classroom
activity as well, in order for them to receive an "S" for this
Outcome...

Hi All,
Quick question. Am I able to give my kids a test for U2O1 as their
Assessment? I know the SD says students must use data visualisation
tools to meet user's needs, however can this be assessed through
demonstration of general classroom activity and work? I'm running a bit
behind with Unit 2 and would figure that a test would save me some time
and enable me to press on with O2.

So here is a draft of my test I'll be giving the kiddies.
Parts taken from Nelson as well as other Internet sources which I didn't
(but should've) referenced.

Hi Benn. I'd say kids would need to use software, but it's possible to
get an 'S' in a unit by demonstrating knowledge in other forms.
Can you perhaps cut down the software task a bit but still keep some?
