At our school we need to follow an assessment/reporting policy - for internal use - when reporting on Unit 1, in addition to VCAA requirements

The way I break it down is:

Assessment Tasks 60% (each of the three tasks are worth 20%)
Chapter Tests 20%
End of Unit Examination 20%

I use to allocate marks for classwork and coursework but now (for different reasons) have students complete a test after each chapter from the text book is covered - which helps assess these areas
