Hi all, yep me again...
Just for those using gamemaker..gave a task which I wrote on the board for them which simply asked them to create a 'pinball' game according to their own skill level and knowledge.
Didnt know what to expect as output but was pleasingly surprised. The tricky bit many found was mainly getting the ball to 'fall' - solved by those who know the gravity feature - and the flippers - got 3 variants on this bit, my best GM guru actually made an intrigueing rotating flipper looking thingy, very creative, another simply created 2 sprites looking like flippers and the right one changes into the left one and vice versa to give the visual look of 'flipping' , the rest generally just used a flat left-right moving paddle.
Naturally, there were a few obstacles, with scoring and lives that finding their way into the screens.
Overall, I am pleased with what I saw!

The next class of my 2 will get the same task so should be interesting to see what I get from them.

Has anyone tried making a snooker game using GM? I was thinking of this as a next challenge for some to try. What tricks and tips should I look out for for anyone who has made one?

Kent.
