Hi Jenna,

 

If you have the criteria established just ask the students to go to a
real organisation and choose one of their networked information systems.
It brings up heaps of discussion about how networks are setup.

 

On the VITTA support CD is a copy of a program called Packet Tracer.  It
is made by Cisco and is a great way to simulate networks and data
packets.
