[Yr11 Information Technology] RE: Yr11 Information Technology

Hi all, 

I just started teaching the new IT course this term and found the exact same problem as everyone here. The previous teacher had spent term 1 on Outcome 1 so I had to rush to finish the other 2 outcomes. I too found it hard to teach proper Database skills and complete an outcome in such a short time. Oh well maybe the course will be changed by the time I'm 'officially' back from maternity leave...

I just thought I was incompetent! I'm (not really) glad others had problems
finishing Unit one, makes me feel much better.

Hi,
I also concur that the Year 11 course has too much in it. I to spent so much
time trying to do a good job on the first two outcomes that it left precious
little time for the third outcome. I definitely think some rejigging is
necessary.
