Hi Andrew and colleagues

 

While I cannot provide an immediate answer, VCAA will be publishing in
November an Implementation CD, which among other things, contains a
course overview, and a detailed course extract, for both Units 1 and 2. 

 

It is intended that each of the three outcomes in the units are of equal
value, and that a lot of the theory can be covered while the students
are doing their practical components. Also, Charmaine Taylor of Sunbury
Downs Secondary College is presenting a session at the VITTA conference
on her experiences of working with the outcomes in the new study design
- it's a session I would attend.

i am teaching yr 11 IT for the first time next year

 

i know it is a new study design but the course structure seems pretty
similar

 

i was wondering if anyone had some sort of course outline or timeline
that i could look at to get a feel for how long the outcomes take?

 

also, what proportion of time do y'all spend on prac vs theory in yr 11?
