Hi all,
I will second what Andrew has shared.
I did raise the moderation by RTO group rather than school cohort as a
concern with the VCAA recently and hope they will look into it.
The upshot is that unless your RTO facilitates really comprehensive
moderation of SACs (that are equivalent), which every teacher fully
participates in, the moderation of your students scores can suffer
significantly.
On the earlier emails. We looked at AIE a few years ago and it looked
great. The downside was that they weren't offering the scored assessed
program which was a deal breaker for us.
Our current provider is a local TAFE that offers multimedia courses. If you
can manage it, it is really nice to be linked in to a local pathway for
students.
Cheers,
Michael
