[vet-mm] Flash in exam

I will get back to the list as soon as I hear.

Personally I would like to know if the new product can do everything that kids are required to do in the exam, if it’s stable, that it does not make the task easier to do i.e. that there is a level playing field…
Again, personally, I would not be changing as the students trained in Flash in Year 11 (and earlier) and I don’t want to waste time in year 12 training in a new product.
In fact, I advise people to ask their techies to make a software image for the exam with the version kids have trained in so they are not confronted with the latest CC update in November. Even if it’s just the look of the program that changes, exam revision time is not when you want the kids to be familiarising themselves with software. They need to be really confident and efficient, not hesitating and looking for something that has changed….

I agree with this but don’t want to run with Animate unless we get some clarification.

So when the VCAA say " Approved software programs :  Flash CS4 and above”  I interpret that to include Animate CC, because it strictly speaking is the latest version of Flash.  However, it would be good for the VCAA to update that document to be more clear.
