Many thanks Marcus. Very helpful. The dilemma with the Product SAC is the oral questioning. This will be easy enough for me as I have only 7 students, I hate to think what it is like for a teacher with 25 students given it can be up 1 hour per student. I think I will still include the questions as a report and then ask my students to present their product in an interview type scenario where they will be asked questions.
Cheers and have a great day.

Hi Donna,
Hope some of this helps.
Currently I have these as a written answers sheet to complete when the project is finished to add to the portfolio of evidence.
When is the final project due?
Who is your audience?
Does you project communicate you message clearly?
Where is the footage from your project coming from?
What is the main software you will be using for the project?
What file format is the source file?
What is the purpose of the video?
What is the destination of the video?
What is the platform?
What output file format is your project required to be in?
What video encoding software will you be using?
What codec's will be taken into account to produce your final project?
Did you apply any metadata tags or apply a rating system to your files? If yes what tags did you use?
Are author, copyright, description, others as specified, resolution, and version, good examples of metadata tags?
What visual design component will you be producing for your project?
Did you produce a range of visual design ideas that technically feasible, respond to specifications and provide creative solutions to all design issues?
Describe where you have used visual design elements. (colour * form * line * shape * texture * tone)
Describe where you have used some visual design principles. (Balance * emphasis * focal point * movement * perspective * proportion * scale * unity.)
What file formats did you produce for inclusion into your project?
What formats could you include?
Did you have any feedback from relevant personnel about your designs?
What typographical design and elements did you explore?
What visual design elements have you explored?
How would describe the overall look of your project?
Did you undertake any necessary amendments?
Done again, what you would do change or do differently next time?

Can anyone help pls
Am I correct in my interpretation - these questions should be answered within a final report and then the teacher I required to ask the student similar questions which they verbally answer and which is recorded ?

Does anyone have a copy of the questions they have asked their students regarding the planning and problem solving process used in a SAC (product). I am doing a product for video assets and visual design and would like to see how others have approached this. I am more than happy to put up a copy of the SAC once I am sure I am assessing it in the correct way.
cheers

Thanks Peter sounds great.
Might be a good one to combine with a trip to Top Designs, which opens at Melbourne Museum March 23.
Cheers
