Hi Stuart,
Thanks for your quick reply and sincere consideration of the issues
raised.
The link to upload material is at the top of the tree on the main page
""Tree of Knowledge"- click on a 'leaf' or share a resource". Click on the
"share a resource link", fill in the form, select the file or if multiple
files please zip into one and a brief description of where it would be
useful. The direct link is
http://www.edulists.com.au/examplework/resourceform.php
Attachments can still be sent through the mailing list system.
Anyone can create a wiki and build up a resource or a number of resources
through the link "Eduwikis Index" on the home page www.edulists.com.au
Any problems ? please contact me for assistance.
Kind Regards

Hi Kervok, to begin yes I am a Multimedia Teacher and have been for
the past 6 years. I've taken a year of teacher for personal reasons
and hope to return to it.
I have record of you sending out an email about the "upload"
facilities but that was dated 8th of Feb 2010. I have received
nothing from you personally as i would of responded directly.
I am more than happy to upload materials i have created and have used
with my students from over 12 schools over the past 6 years. Please,
if you wish to send me the link for the Edulist Wiki, I would be more
than happy to upload resources.
I have been a past member and Vice President of Pixel Ed and know
what it's like to be a teacher at one point in time with limited
knowledge and understanding of the course and receiving help from the
the wider community like I have helped many others.
I apologies for any inconvenience this has cause and I will reframe
from using EduList to promote anything other than the successful
upload of resources to the Edulists Wiki.
Kind Regards
Stuart.

Dear Stuart,
I note your email address is subscriptions at sjbsolutions.com.au .
Is that
a commercial organisation and are you a teacher ?
I am concerned about your advertising on Edulists to recruit
members to
build another community without discussion with the owner/manager/
moderator
of Edulists.
I did try to communicate with you earlier and offered a Wiki on
Edulists
for precisely the purpose you have mentioned in your announcements on
Edulists and did not get a reply. There is also scope for anyone ,
subscriber at Edulists or otherwise, to post a resource on Edulists
through
an upload page if the Wiki is not what they require.
I have no problem with anyone creating any community of their
choice. The
issue is one where there is potential to dilute the strength of one
community by splitting it. In addition the Edulists community is
sponsored
by the Interactive Media teachers' association PixelEd, as well as
the VCAA
as each message signature attests.
I have no problem with your efforts to build a community. I do have a
problem with recruiting in this community.
If you do have a resource set that you wish to announce to teachers
here,
that is fine and there are precedents for this such as Mark Kelly's
vceit.com or Rupert Russell's resources but they have not recruited
subscribers in this community to direct their energies elsewhere. If you
have a website you wish to make available please let us know. You can
advertise it freely.
I neither have a monopoly on knowledge nor on communities. However,
Edulists is a community that I run from a server that I manage and
the fact
it works so well ( or so I hope ) is not an accident but due to a
fair deal
of effort. Why not post resources here ?
I have had no success writing to you privately and this is your
second post
attempting to recruit to create an alternate community. It is this
conflict
of interest that has precipitated my message to you.
Since you now have 20 members (which I assume were due to efforts to
recruit here ) please write to them directly rather than continue to
advertise on Edulists.
Kind Regards

Hi all, we now have 20 members which is great. I've been pretty busy
with the new role and haven't had a chance to upload anything as yet.
It's your turn now. You're a member, upload something. I hope to see
at least 20 new items in the next week or 2. This is a space for US
to use.
Yes i will be putting up a fare bit, but I created this space to be
shared.
Looking forward to the Multimedia Resource goodness :)
Stuart.
